Location

Tansterne is a hamlet of around half a dozen houses and various farm buildings, located north-east of Kingston upon Hull, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, in the low-lying coastal strip known as Holderness.

Site Plan
The site plan below shows the area immediately around the proposed power station, with Fox Covert to the north-east and Tansterne around 300m to the west.  Vehicle access for straw deliveries would be via a dedicated new access running east to the B1238.  The proposed pond, which provides part of the cooling process for the power station, is located just to the south of the plant.  Potential screen planting is shown around the power station and pond, south of Tansterne and along Tansterne Lane.
